The MIRAI Trimmer Tabletop set is used for making your own Trimmer Router Table. This is the same aluminum top found on p. 86 of Routing, by Toyohisa Sugita. The two bit holes of different sizes in the aluminum top can be used according to the size of the bit you are using. Instead of attaching the trimming router directly to the table top, it slides between the two bit holes via the included slide base, allowing it to move back and forth. Unlike traditional router table inserts, which require inserting rings into the bit holes, this product eliminates the step-like edges (below photo) that can cause material to catch, providing both “zero step” and “quick-bit hole selection.”
Table top size: 400mm x 400mm, thickness: 6mm high-precision aluminum plate.
Slide base: Acrylic. Mounting holes require user to drill and countersink, using the below hardware, in order to custom fit trimming router of choice.
Hardware included: 4 M4 washers and wing nuts, 4 M4 x20 pan head screws, 10mm countersink bit, 4.3 mm drill bit and a 3.2 mm drill bit for pilot holes.
